KIA SYROS: Booking to Begin on 3 January 2025.

KIA SYROS INTRODUCTIN

        Kia India has unveiled the all-new Cyros, which will be Kia’s fifth sports utility vehicle (SUV) ever. Bookings for the sub-four meter SUV will begin from January 3, 2025, and deliveries will begin in the month of February. Prices for the Kia Cyros have not been announced yet, prices of the Kia Cyros will be announced at the India Mobility Show to be held next month.The South Korean carmaker said that the Kia Siro will be positioned between the Sonet and Seltos SUVs. When launched, it will compete with cars like the Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV3XO, Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, and the soon-to-be-launched Skoda Qliq.

        The Kia Siros is based on the K1 platform that also underpins its Sonet entry-level SUV. It will be offered with a 1.0-litre turbopetrol engine mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT and a 1.5-litre diesel motor mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. It will be available in four standard trims and two option trims namely – HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX and HTX+, HTX+(O).

  • The Kia Cirros gets dual-tone interiors with a two-spoke steering wheel and two screens.
  • It will also be equipped with features like Level 2 ADAS,

  • a panoramic sunroof,
  • automatic climate control,
  • hill-start assistance,
  • electronic stability control,
  • six airbags as standard,
  • ventilated seats and a 360-degree camera.

        Kia India MD and CEO Gwangju Lee said, “With the Citros, we are further expanding our product portfolio, introducing a new breed of SUV that combines superior comfort, cutting-edge technology and bold design.” He also added that India continues to be one of the best markets for Kia globally as the popularity of Kia has grown and India is still the fastest growing economy in the world, which promises a lot for car manufacturers.

        “In the combined segment which is around 18 lakh units (per year), the company is looking to increase its market share from 15 per cent to 20 per cent by 2025,” Kia India Senior Vice President (Sales & Marketing) Hardeep Singh Brar told reporters at the unveiling of the Cyros. Meanwhile, Kia India is planning to sell around 3 lakh units this year, up from the 2.55 lakh units estimated earlier this year.
